KwickPOS - How to Delay Print Items on an Order? How to Hold an Entire Order?



Scenario: KwickPOS allows users to hold individual items only for dine-in orders. All other order types are held per ticket.

Resolution:

Set up hold function for dine-in orders

Go to Back Office - Advance - General. Select Yes for "Delay Send".

To hold an item, click enter in the ordering screen.

Select the item, and input delay time. Click submit.

If a ticket has a held item, a green triangle will show up on the upper right corner of the ticket icon.

Open the ticket to see remaining hold time.



To send the held item to kitchen before hold time is up. Select the item and click "Delay".



Click "Submit"



Click "Update"




Set up hold function for Walk-in, Pick-up and Delivery orders

Go to Back Office - Advance - Rule & Credit Card. Select "Yes" for "Save Tool".
Select "Hold" to show button as "Hold". Select "Yes" to show button as "Save".

To hold an order, click "Save" button on ordering screen.

Select the time for the order to be sent to kitchen.
Click "Next" to place another order. Click "Done" to go to the saved screen to see all saved orders.
