# Codepay P5 - How to Process a Sale?

# CREDIT CARD SALE OPERATIONAL STEPS

1. **Screen Prompt: "Enter Amount Select Payment Method"**
* Input the total amount for the product and select payment method.


2. **Screen Prompt: "Input Tip"**
* Review and confirm sale amount and tip and press **"Charge"**.


3. **Screen Prompt: "Swipe/Insert/Tap or Manual Entry" then process the card**
* Swipe/Insert/Tap the customer's card.
* Select any of the above methods to process the card.


4. **Tap "OK" to confirm**
* Ask the customer to sign on the screen if prompted.


5. **Screen Prompt: "TEAR SLIP", select "OK" to print Customer Copy, or select "CANCEL" to Print No Copy**
* Make your selection based on requirements.


6. **Tap "Done" to complete the transaction**
* Press **"Done"** to complete transaction.
