Introduction




CardPointe is a comprehensive and secure cloud-based platform that makes accepting and managing payments simple. Using CardPointe, you can: Authorize, capture, void, and refund transactions from your desktop or mobile device.



Note: This article is only for online sales refund. In-store transactions refund required the full credit card number and has to be done on the terminal or the pos system.



Log In To CardPointe

Log in with the account and password.
Account registration link will be sent to merchant's private email address, please login with email to register. If you are having problem logging in, please contact your agent or merchant service. If you forgot the password, please click 'forgot password' button to reset.


Under the Report - Transaction tab, type in the card number or total amount in the search box to locate the sale. Click on the series of numbers under the transaction # column to access the transaction detail page.

Select the Transaction

Select "Refund".
Note: Only transactions in the "processed" state can be refunded


Select Refund on the screen

Enter the reason for the refund as well as the refund amount. Then, click on "Confirm".

If the refund is successfully processed, a confirmation notice will be displayed on the screen.
On the top left of the page, there's choices to choose to print out the receipt by click on "Print Receipt", or choose to send an e-receipt by clicking " Email Receipt."

Declined: If the notification box shown up says Declined, the total number will turned into red. Refund declined mostly casued by credit card not authorized or expired, etc...
