FrontAdmin - How to set happy hour promotion?
đ· How to run "happy hour" marketing promotion?
1. What kind of discounts can you create? â
Order Discount:
* Scenario: "6% OFF the entire menu on Tuesdays."
* Effect: After the customer places an order, the discount applies to the total bill.

Group Discount:
* Scenario: "Half price on all Desserts every day from 2-5 PM."
* Effect: As long as you set the "Dessert" group, any new items added to this group in the future will automatically receive the discount without needing reconfiguration.

Item Discount:
* Scenario: "Special price on 'Vanilla Ice Cream' only for today."
* Effect: Precisely promote specific items that are overstocked or have high profit margins.

2. Where to configure?
Please log in to the Merchant Admin Portal (Admin.fronttab.com): Go to ăMarketingă -> ăGrowth Toolsă -> ăHappy Houră, then click ăCreate Happy Houră.

Here you can flexibly set detailed rules for your Happy Hour campaign:
- Basic Information: Includes the English and Chinese name of the campaign, the applicable channels, and the eligible customer groups.

- Discount Rules: Set specific discount rates.
- For Order Discount, set the percentage.
- For Group Discount, select the participating groups.
- For Item Discount, select the participating items.

- Duration (Cycle Management): Set which days of the week it is active (e.g., Monday to Friday only), or set a long-term recurring cycle. The effective time range can be precise to the minute (e.g., 14:00 - 17:00).

- Quick Switch: If you need to temporarily cancel a campaign, you don't need to delete it. Simply click ăEnable/Disableă to toggle the status.

- Fast Copy: Want to quickly start a new campaign? Click ăCopy Promotionă and just adjust the time or dates.
- Other Actions: You can edit or delete added campaigns. Note: If a campaign is already active/live, editing is limited to adjusting the "Duration" data.

3. Important Tips:
đ« Regarding "Campaign Conflicts":
The system has intelligent alerts. You cannot have multiple Happy Hour campaigns for the same channel, same time slot, and same item.
Example: You have already set a discount for "Vanilla Ice Cream" on the Kiosk from 3-6 PM.
If you try to set another discount for the "Dessert Group" (which contains Vanilla Ice Cream) on the Kiosk from 4-5 PM, the system will block it to prevent overlapping discounts.
â° Regarding "Effective Time":
- The discount is based on the "Time the item is added to the cart."
- Scenario: The campaign ends at 5:00 PM. If a customer adds an item to the cart at 4:59 PM but checks out at 5:05 PM, they will still enjoy the discount.
- Conversely: If they add items outside the campaign hours, the discount will not apply at checkout (unless manually added by staff).
- đĄ Crucial Step: After configuring the campaign in the Admin Portal, don't forget to go to Front Station -> ăMoreă and tap Sync Data. This ensures the campaign goes live on time.

đ Regarding "Member Exclusives":
You can set ăEligible Customersă in the backend, allowing you to create "Member-Only Happy Hours."
Note: Currently, this feature is only supported on Kiosk and Online Order. The Station does not strictly enforce member verification automatically (but staff can handle this manually).
4. Store Operations & Display:
đ While the Campaign is Active:
- Auto-Tagging: During the active time, Discount Tags (e.g., X% OFF) will automatically appear next to the corresponding items on the Station, Kiosk, and Online Order menus to attract customers.
- Upsell Works Too: Items added via Upsell recommendation pages will also automatically enjoy the discount.
đ How Staff Can Manually Adjust:
Once a Happy Hour campaign is set, the system applies the discount automatically. However, if you encounter a special situation where you need to remove the discount:
- On the Front Station cart page, click ă···ă, select ăMoreă -> ăDiscountă, and you can manually remove the corresponding Happy Hour discount.
- If an Online Order or Kiosk order enters the Station and the discount needs modification, it can be handled on the Station.
